Hi, Yes — the electriQ Mushroom Gas Patio Heater (IQODHSM) uses a manual piezo ignition system with a pilot light. To light it, you turn the control dial to PILOT, press and hold the knob for around 30–45 seconds, then press the igniter button until the pilot flame ignites, keeping the knob held for a further 10–20 seconds to stabilise the flame before selecting the heat setting. This design is standard for this type of patio heater and ensures safe, controlled ignition when the correct start-up procedure is followed.
