Question from David Morgan: Asked on 10/04/2026 Im intending to put heater in a brand new conservatory of which is latest solar glass & technology regarding installation, with partly insulated walls. Using this heater what are running costs per hour, £. ? During winter
Thanks David
Hi, This is a 2kW electric radiator, which means its maximum running cost is approximately 56p per hour if it were operating continuously at full power. However, it is thermostatically controlled, so in normal use it will automatically switch on and off to maintain the set temperature rather than running constantly. As a result, the actual running cost will vary depending on outside temperature, insulation, and the desired room temperature, and will typically be lower than the maximum figure, but exact usage cannot be precisely guaranteed as it depends on site conditions and how it is used.
Thank you.
Question from Caroline: Asked on 01/04/2026 Hi, my room is 12m square, what size radiator would be best?
Hi, For a 12 m² room, the typical heating requirement is around 1200W (based on ~100W per m²). The 2000W Anthracite Vertical Smart Electric Radiator is therefore more than sufficient; however, as it features dual heating elements (1kW + 1kW), it can operate at a lower output for maintaining temperature and use the full 2000W when faster heat-up is needed. This means it is not oversized in practice, providing efficient temperature control, quicker warm-up times, and reliable performance, particularly in areas such as bathrooms where heat loss is higher.
Thank you.
Question from Angela Stevenson: Asked on 05/02/2026 If I want my room to be at 20 degrees what temperature do I need to set the radiator to to reach this temperature and how long will it take? Bought the 2.4kw vertical radiators. Said suitable for a room of 22 metres
Hi Angela,For your 22?m² room, your 2.4?kW smart electric radiator is well-suited. Simply set the thermostat to 20?°C, and it should heat the room to that temperature in about 30–45 minutes from a typical cool starting point. If the room is very cold, it may take up to 1–1.5 hours. Thanks!
Question from Dave Beattie: Asked on 26/10/2025 Can this radiator be installed horizontally
Hi Dave, this model is designed exclusively for vertical installation. Its mounting brackets and heating element orientation are tailored for upright positioning. Thank you.
