Question from Dean: Asked on 26/12/2025 What height does the plug socket have to be behind the cooker
Hi Dean,For this AEG cooker, there is no fixed legal height for a plug socket, but good practice is **not to place the socket directly behind or above the cooker**; instead, it should be **easily accessible without reaching over hot surfaces**, typically positioned to the side or in a nearby cupboard, with a common practical height being **around 450–600 mm from the floor** if it is behind the appliance and below the cooking area. Thanks!
Question from Cookie: Asked on 03/12/2025 Does it have a delay timer oven function?
Hi, The AEG CGX1130ACB 55cm Gas Cooker comes with a handy timer (minute-minder) that lets you know when your cooking is done. However, it doesn’t have a delayed-start or auto-start function, so the oven can’t be set to start cooking automatically at a later time.
Thakn you.
