Catalytic Cleaning

Hi, The AEG CGX1130ACB 55cm gas cooker does not have a built-in isolation switch on the appliance itself. It is designed to be connected via a standard plug and therefore must be isolated using an external switched socket or a separate wall-mounted isolation switch.

Hi, The AEG CGX1130ACB gas cooker has a total electrical load of approximately 2.4 kW. As this appliance is gas for cooking functions, the electrical supply is only used for ignition, lighting, and any ancillary features. The unit is designed to operate from a standard 230–240V supply and requires a 13 amp fused connection. It can be safely connected via a standard UK socket or a 13A fused spur, and does not require a dedicated high-load cooker circuit.

Hi, The AEG CGX1130ACB 55cm gas cooker is supplied with a standard UK 3-pin 13A plug and is designed to be connected to a normal 13 amp socket. It has an approximate electrical load of 2.4 kW, which equates to a current draw of around 10–11 amps. This means it operates safely on a standard 13A fused circuit at the fuse board and does not require a dedicated cooker circuit or hardwiring.

Hi Dean,For this AEG cooker, there is no fixed legal height for a plug socket, but good practice is **not to place the socket directly behind or above the cooker**; instead, it should be **easily accessible without reaching over hot surfaces**, typically positioned to the side or in a nearby cupboard, with a common practical height being **around 450–600 mm from the floor** if it is behind the appliance and below the cooking area.Thanks!

Hi, The AEG CGX1130ACB 55cm Gas Cooker comes with a handy timer (minute-minder) that lets you know when your cooking is done. However, it doesn’t have a delayed-start or auto-start function, so the oven can’t be set to start cooking automatically at a later time.
