This CDA gas-on-glass hob combines the traditional convenience and precision of gas fuel, with the easy-to-clean and modern appearance of a black glass hob surface. With a variety of burners and power levels, you can have precise control over each dish you prepare, helping you to achieve great cooking results each time. With a stylish and glossy black design, this hob will become an eye-catching focal point in the kitchen. The addition of slim control dials gives the hob a smart and subtle appearance that will complement other kitchen appliances.
The cast iron pan supports provided are not just a unique and eye-catching feature. The linked-up design will provide extra support and solidarity for your pans whilst they are on the hob, which is particularly useful when you are cooking with slightly larger cookware for bigger meals. The control dials are situated at the front of the hob so that you can easily control and adjust the temperature of each burner without having to reach over hot saucepans to do it. The ignition is automatic so you don't have to get your fingers near the flame whilst you are igniting it, and the flame failure safety device will cut off the supply should the flame go out during use.
With 5 burners and 4 different sizes and powers, this hob gives you the flexibility to use different sizes of cookware to accommodate different meals. It also gives you more control over the amount of heat you want going to those dishes during cooking.

Question from JB: Asked on 01/02/2026 Hi
What is the vertical and horizontal clearance needed on this?
Looking to install onto a worktop that has wall units above which are 750mm gap between them and are 400mm higher than the worktop
Hi, For the CDA 70?cm 5-burner gas hob, the manufacturer requires at least 760?mm between the hob surface and any wall cabinets above it. Your current wall units are 750?mm above the worktop, so that’s slightly lower than recommended. Side clearances should be at least 150?mm from any walls or panels. To fully meet safety guidelines, the wall units would need a small adjustment or a cooker hood installed at the correct height. All installation should be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Thank you.
Question from Louise: Asked on 23/01/2026 What clearance above a electric oven does it need for the ventilation? Wondering if I can put a double oven below it? If the double oven sits on the plinth or possibly a bit lower.
Hi, The hob can be installed above a built-in double oven. To ensure safe operation and proper airflow, there should be a ventilation gap of around 30?mm or a ventilation panel/separator if needed. This allows the oven and hob to work safely together without affecting performance.
Thank you.
Question from Louise: Asked on 11/01/2026 Can this hob fit above a built in single oven
Hi, Yes, this hob can go above a built-in oven, but it must have enough clearance for safety and ventilation. It sits in the worktop, so the combined space and gap above the oven must fit the hob properly. Installation should be done by a qualified professional to meet all safety requirements.
Thank you.
Question from Craig: Asked on 17/11/2025 Can this hob be fitted on a 20mm quartz worktop?
Hi, Yes, the CDA HVG721BL hob can go on a 20?mm quartz worktop. It must be installed carefully using the supplied brackets, with the cut-out precise and enough clearance underneath for ventilation. If fitted by a professional, it will be safe and work perfectly.
Thank you.
