This allows for a clean, plug-and-play installation without the need for drilling walls or running expensive copper pipework.
Safe & Flexible Setup The robust metal mounting bracket and lightweight outdoor unit enable a safe, flexible self-setup across a wide range of window types, including standard windows, French balconies, and roof windows (optional brackets may be required). A window sealing cloth is included in the box to ensure maximum cooling efficiency and prevent warm air from re-entering your room.

Hi Jon,The PortaSplit 8K is powered by plugging the indoor unit into a standard UK wall socket, and that unit then powers and controls the outdoor unit through a connected cable system. The two units are linked by a pre-attached interconnecting line of about 3–4 metres, so the outdoor unit needs to be placed very close to the window or balcony rather than far away.Thanks!

Hi, The Midea PortaSplit 8000 BTU A++ Smart Inverter typically costs around 10p–18p per hour to run under normal UK conditions (based on average electricity prices of 25–30p/kWh). Thanks to inverter technology, it uses more power when first cooling the room, then reduces consumption significantly once the set temperature is reached, with lower running costs during maintenance mode and short peaks of up to around 20p–24p per hour in hot conditions.
