The indoor and outdoor modules are fully factory-sealed and linked by a tough, 2.5m flat line. No F-Gas engineer required—simply unpack, mount, and start cooling.
UK Window Adaptability
Check the distance: The indoor and outdoor units are permanently connected by a 2.5-meter flat hose. Plan the route: Before setting up, map out exactly how that 2.5m hose will run from the top of the outdoor unit, through your window opening, to where the indoor unit will sit.
Best suited for inward-opening or sash windows, patio doors, conservatories, balconies and vented corridors where the outdoor module can sit safely outside the room you want to cool while the indoor unit stays inside. For outward-opening windows we recommend permanently mounting the outdoor unit to a wall bracket, such as the ACWALLBKTLPG, for a secure, professional installation.
Important Delivery Info To keep the cooling loop factory-sealed, the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and refrigerant hose ship as one integrated system. The shipping box is large and weighs over 40kg. If you live in a top-floor flat with no lift, we recommend having a second person available on delivery day to help handle the package, or unboxing the modules safely on the ground floor to move them up piece by piece.

Hi, According to the manufacturer installation guidance, the outdoor unit is designed to be fully supported on the supplied mounting bracket or a stable, level exterior surface. It is not intended to be suspended. Adequate airflow must be maintained around the unit, and it must be securely fixed at all times.

It is built to withstand typical outdoor exposure, but it is not fully sealed against extreme conditions like complete submersion or very harsh weather. As long as it is mounted securely on the supplied bracket and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, it is intended to stay outside permanently.

Hi, The Midea PortaSplit 8000 BTU uses a factory-sealed, pre-charged refrigerant line between the indoor and outdoor units, so it cannot be disconnected, extended, or modified by the user; it is designed only to pass through a window, door, or prepared opening with the outdoor unit positioned directly outside, and any alteration of the sealed system would require an F-Gas qualified engineer and would void the warranty, meaning it is not intended for permanent or extended through-wall installation.
