Installation & Technical Advice
Important: Pipe & Cable Kit Required Please note that a specific Pipe & Cable Kit (1/4" liquid + 1/2" gas connections) is essential for the installation of this unit, but it is not included in the box. You will need to order the correct kit for your required run length (up to a maximum of 15m) from the Recommended Accessories section before booking your installation engineer.
F-Gas Installation Required To ensure safe and optimal performance, this air conditioner must be installed and commissioned by a fully qualified F-Gas AC engineer. These units contain R32 fluorinated greenhouse gas (GWP 675) which must be handled by certified personnel in accordance with F-Gas regulations. Please note that the 2-year warranty is subject to proper commissioning by a qualified engineer.

The reversible heat pump system delivers 4.2kW of cooling and 5.0kW of heating and keeps working reliably down to −10°C outside.
Efficient, quiet and long-lasting
A Toshiba DC inverter compressor continuously adjusts its speed rather than switching fully on and off, so the Sumato reaches temperature quicker, runs more quietly and uses less energy than fixed-speed air conditioners - rated A++/A+ (SEER 6.10 / SCOP 4.00, UK Average climate). Toshiba’s Magic Coil treatment keeps the indoor coil clean by stopping dust and dirt sticking to it. After you switch off, the self-clean cycle dries the coil to help prevent mould, damp and musty smells.
Comfort and control on your terms
Choose High Power mode for a rapid blast of cooling or heating, or 8°C heating to frost-protect your home while you’re away over winter. On extremely cold days, on-demand defrost clears the outdoor unit so it keeps working.
Installation & what to order
The indoor and outdoor units are pre-gassed and sealed for a straightforward install by a qualified fitter. A pipe kit is not included - this model uses 1/4" + 1/2" connections (liquid + gas), so add the correct copper pipe & cable kit for your run length (up to 15m) from Recommended Accessories.
F-Gas notice
This unit contains fluorinated greenhouse gas (R32, GWP 675) and must be installed by an F-Gas qualified air conditioning engineer. The gas must be handled by qualified F-Gas personnel. Warranty is subject to commissioning by a qualified F-Gas engineer.
